We're opening both doors and spilling out into the parking lots for this cigar event! Sam Leccia, the maker and creator of the NUB cigar, will be on hand rolling these special Nicaraguan cigars. Jack Daniels, Wine Tasting, Food, Isthmus DJ's, Car/Bike/Boat Show, plus, the awesome hospitality of The Tasting Room is all planned for this event. We need your help- Please contact your State of Wisconsin Senator and Assembly Person and tell them why Wisconsin tobacconists and cigar bars should have a smoking ban exemption.

Smoking Ban Talking Points

1. Any Wisconsin State smoking ban should include exemptions for tobacco shops and cigar bars. Those businesses rely on smoking, are smoking destinations, and no reasonable person would expect a smoke free environment. These two business industries will vanish with a no exemption ban.  We recommend a Retail Tobacco Shop be defined as a store that derives 50% of its revenue from the sale of tobacco or tobacco related accessories.  A Cigar Bar be defined as a bar that derives 15% of its revenue from the sale of tobacco or tobacco related accessories.

2. Do not raise the Other Tobacco ProductsTax (OTP) from the current 50% to the proposed 71%.  By raising the OTP tax (again!), it will hurt local tobacco shops and cigar bars as customers will buy from the internet and catalogues to avoid all state taxes thus reducing State of Wisconsin revenue.
