Wine Tasting with African Routes Imports

Friday December 09th, 2011 4pm to 6pm

Come to The Tasting Room Friday, December 9th between 4pm and 6pm to taste wines with Mike Rutlin of African Routes Imports! We will be featuring the 2010 Pinotage Grinder (Obvious notes of coffee and mocha, the taste is dark red fruit), Stellenbosch Hills 2009 Polkadraai Pinotage/Merlot blend (smooth and easy to drink, great wine for all sorts of food), and Piattelli Vineyards 2009 Premium Malbec from Mendoza Argentina (91 points Robert Parker).

Thank you Cigar Store Alliance Of Wisconsin!  On behalf of cigar smokers in Wisconsin, we owe this small Wisconsin lobby organization a lot.  This group successfully fought for our rights to continue to enjoy a cigar in a cigar store or cigar bar in the state of Wisconsin.  And, this group also successfully stopped an increase in state tobacco tax for premium hand rolled cigars while all other tobacco products will see another increase come September 2009.   Wow.  

The Tasting Room of Monona is a proud participant of the Cigar Store Alliance of Wisconsin (www.csawi.org).  Of course, now we have to pay our lobbyists.  So,  many of the cigar stores and cigar bars of this alliance will be having fund raisers...so be on the lookout and participate if you can!!  If you have already contributed,  we thank you very, very much.

The Tasting Room will hold a poker tournament in the fall in order to raise money for our Cigar Store Alliance of Wisconsin...so keep checking the web site or sign on to our email list!    Thanks again.
